In the episode of You Gotta Eat Here! that aired 2013-02-22, host John Catucci visited a brunch restaurant in Gatineau, Quebec. The TVmaze episode listing describes the segment only as brunch and does not name a dish. Edgar was a brunch-only restaurant on Rue Bégin, in the Val-Tétreau area of Gatineau's Hull sector. CBC News reported that chef and owner Marysol Foucault named it after her father, and that it was known for dishes such as rillettes and shakshouka and turned to takeout comfort food during the pandemic. Wikipedia lists the opening as October 2010 and gives its signature item as a Dutch baby pancake topped with apples, aged cheddar, maple syrup and pork belly. CBC News reported that the last day of service was set for August 15, with Foucault saying she wanted to work on other projects, and Wikipedia gives the closing date as 2022-08-15. The restaurant's Facebook page was still reachable when read on 2026-10-20 but showed no ordering link.
