What happened after Mystery Diners?

On the Mystery Diners episode 'Skating on Thin Ice,' which aired 2015-10-14, the owners of Epic Rollertainment in Murrieta told host Charles Stiles they were losing food and merchandise and asked him to find out why. His undercover investigators worked the rink's counter and floor and reported back a bigger issue: staff were letting people into the closed rink after hours, outside of paid admission. Stiles laid out the surveillance findings for the owners, who removed the employees involved and, consistent with the show's usual format, were advised to secure after-hours access to the building.

According to Wikipedia's article on Mystery Diners, which cites its sources, the series carries a disclaimer that some events are staged or re-enacted for dramatic effect, and a television critic has described several of its scenarios as implausible. The Murrieta property no longer operates as Epic Rollertainment. Yelp's listing for 39809 Avenida Acacias, updated August 2026, shows the address as Arcade Monsters & Rollerskating Murrieta, an arcade and skating venue. Arcade Monsters' own site describes the Murrieta location as its largest build to date, with close to 28,000 square feet of arcade games, mini-bowling, and a roller rink, and lists an opening in December 2025. The company's site was still listing hours for the Murrieta location when checked in September 2026. It is not established from the sources reviewed here whether the current operator has any connection to Epic Rollertainment's prior ownership.
