What happened after Mystery Diners?
In "Tour Bust" (Mystery Diners, Food Network, S10E11, aired 2015-10-07), according to Food Network's episode synopsis, father-and-son owners Danny and Danny Jr. of Star Cafe and Star Coaches in Atlanta, Georgia, told investigator Charles Stiles they were seeing food go missing from their kitchen alongside rising fuel costs on their tour buses. Charles sent Mystery Diners operatives Meagen and Jamie in undercover to look into what was happening both in the kitchen and out on the road, and Food Network's synopsis frames the two problems as connected. Charles then advised the owners on tightening controls across both the restaurant and the tour operation.
Wikipedia's article on Mystery Diners, citing its sources, describes the series as staged and scripted rather than an unscripted documentary. Since the episode aired, the café side of the business, now branded online as Stars Cafe, operates an active website carrying a 2026 copyright, current page content, and a working online ordering option, and Google Places lists it as operational at 349 Decatur St SE, Atlanta. This research pass found no current reference to the Star Coaches tour-bus operation and no dated news coverage addressing the original food-loss allegations.
