What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?

The 'Buttered Up' episode of Best Thing I Ever Ate featured Eventide Oyster Co., spotlighting its brown butter lobster roll alongside raw-bar oysters. Eventide is an oyster bar and seafood restaurant on Middle Street in Portland, Maine's Old Port district, styled by its owners as a revival of the traditional American oyster bar. Since the episode, the business has continued operating: its website (eventideoysterco.com), checked 2026-09-08, listed both the original Portland, Maine location and a second location, Eventide Fenway, in Boston, Massachusetts, along with active digital gift card sales and nationwide shipping via Goldbelly. The functioning multi-location site and active ordering options indicate Eventide remained open as of the September 2026 check. No reports of closure or ownership change were found.
