What happened after Food Paradise?

Heavy Seas Alehouse paired the seafood-and-pub fare of Chow Down Meat Town's Baltimore stop with the house craft beers of parent brewer Heavy Seas Beer, pouring the label's ales alongside a Bank Street pub menu. The alehouse operated in the Harbor East/Little Italy area of Baltimore as a brewery-branded restaurant and taproom. According to Baltimore Fishbowl, owner Hugh Sisson closed the alehouse in late May 2018 to hand the Bank Street space to Blue Dog BBQ, a local catering company opening its first storefront there; Sisson said the move gave Blue Dog BBQ "a chance to realize their dream." Google's listing marks the Bank Street address permanently closed, and Yelp's page for Heavy Seas Alehouse, updated 2026-08, is likewise marked closed, with no successor business name attached to the listing.
