What happened after Man v. Food?

For the challenge segment of the Man v. Food season 9 premiere, Casey Webb returned to Bethany Beach, Delaware, to face Heidaway's "Delmarva Surf & Turf Challenge," according to Wikipedia's Man v. Food season 9 article. The 3.5-pound plate paired a two-pound lump crab cake with a pound of marinated beef short rib and a half-pound of Old Bay-seasoned fries, to be finished in 30 minutes; no previous challenger had beaten it. Webb worked through the crab cake and short rib and ultimately finished with 53 seconds remaining, becoming the challenge's first winner.

Heidaway describes itself, on its own website, as a restaurant built around "colorful, healthy plates & craft cocktails" using locally sourced ingredients, open seven days a week with a Sunday brunch service. The restaurant is located on Garfield Parkway near Bethany Beach's boardwalk. Heidaway's site, updated in June 2026, still lists the Delmarva-style menu and seasonal promotions tied to the summer season.
