What happened after Food Paradise?

The episode featured Hot Suppa's Southern-inspired brunch menu, including shrimp and grits, gumbo, and biscuits with sausage gravy, served in the restaurant's 1860s brick Victorian building on Congress Street in Portland, Maine. According to the Bangor Daily News, brothers Alec and Moses Sabina launched Hot Suppa in 2006 after touring diners, barbecue joints, and fish fries across the South. The Portland Press Herald reported that longtime employee Amber Nachreiner and Cameron Rodrigues, a former bartender at Central Provisions, filed paperwork with the city in December 2024 to take over the restaurant along with its liquor license. The Bangor Daily News reported the pair officially took over in January 2025, hand-picked by the Sabina brothers, and told the city they intended to keep the restaurant's concept unchanged. Hot Suppa's own website, checked 2026-09-09, still listed the Congress Street address, current hours, and an active online ordering system.
