What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network) featured How Crispy Express in the episode "Funky Flavors", which aired 2025-06-20, spotlighting the Atlanta restaurant. How Crispy Express operated out of a unit on Georgia Avenue SE in Atlanta, per the address Google Places associates with the business. A Google Places listing checked on 2026-09-08 marked the business permanently closed. On the same date, the restaurant's website, howcrispy.com, returned no response at all when checked, consistent with the business no longer operating at that address. No news coverage, social media update, or replacement business at the Georgia Avenue SE unit was located during the 2026-09-08 review to explain when the closure occurred. Because a Google Places status flag is not itself a dated closure announcement, the exact closing date remains unknown, though the permanently-closed marking together with the non-functioning website both point the same direction as of the 2026-09-08 check.
