What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' "Intercontinental Flavorfest" (aired 2015-06-05), Guy Fieri sampled piroska, a Balkan-style stuffed pizza similar to a calzone, at Intermezzo Pizzeria and Cafe, according to Food Network. The pizzeria and cafe, run by the Avramovic family, serves pizzas made with handmade dough and housemade mozzarella alongside traditional Serbian dishes that turn first-time visitors into regulars, according to Food Network. The restaurant has operated on East 10th Street in Charlotte since before its 2015 television appearance. According to a Yelp listing updated 2026-07, Intermezzo Pizzeria and Cafe continues operating with posted hours of Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and extended hours Friday through Sunday, and the same listing shows customer reviews and scheduled restaurant events continuing into 2026.
