What Happened to Jaxon Edwin After 24 Hours to Hell and Back?

Jaxon Edwin, a three-floor "social house" on Ellicott City, Maryland's Main Street, was the third business featured in Ramsay's "Save Our Town" special, the two-hour episode that aired May 12, 2020 as part of the town's recovery from the 2016 and 2018 floods. The building combined a first-floor game room and lounge, a second-floor bar and nitro coffee house, and a third-floor vintage-style barbershop, and its renovation was folded into the special's larger town-wide rebuilding storyline alongside appearances from Cal Ripken Jr., the Baltimore Ravens, Maryland's governor, the Maryland National Guard, and designer Nate Berkus. The relaunched business reopened for a period after the special aired, but the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted it almost immediately, and the show's planned follow-up segment could not be filmed once the pandemic hit.

WMAR-2 News and the Baltimore Sun reported that the venue briefly reopened in May before closing again on July 24 after learning that two customers who had recently visited its lounge had tested positive for COVID-19, and that Jaxon Edwin's permanent closure followed in August 2020, with the owner citing a combination of reduced walk-in traffic, the coronavirus exposure, and a landlord unwilling to adjust rent during the shutdown. Unlike the other two businesses featured in the special, Jaxon Edwin has not reopened under a new name or ownership at the Main Street address.
