Kerry's Sports Pub operated in Las Vegas under owner Bill Davis, who according to the episode had invested his life savings into the bar to secure his children's and grandchildren's futures and staffed it largely with family. According to Reality TV Updates, after Davis suffered a stroke in 2011, family members took advantage of his reduced oversight: his grandson Justin was characterized as unreliable and prone to workplace flirtation, and his daughter Kim was seen as too lenient with staff. Jon Taffer's team found simple drinks like a margarita and a Bloody Mary taking too long to prepare, and surveillance footage showed two bartenders pocketing cash from the till and giving away drinks, cutting the bar's sales roughly in half; both employees were fired as a result.

As part of the rescue, chef Brendan Collins trained the kitchen on a proper BLT sandwich and general presentation standards, and mixologist Phil Wills worked with the remaining bartenders on speed and consistency. Taffer put Kim in a formal manager role for the first time. The renovation introduced a bacon-forward menu concept meant to differentiate the bar from other sports bars nearby, including bacon-infused Bloody Marys, and the business was renamed from Kerry's Sports Pub to Bacon Bar. The new concept held for close to a decade.

According to Reality TV Updates, sales were up 32% within six weeks of the visit, and Bill Davis kept Taffer's bacon concept rather than reverting to the old sports-bar identity, unlike many other Bar Rescue subjects; the bar was later featured again in a Season 6 'Back to the Bar' revisit. Reality TV Updates reports Bacon Bar closed in May 2022 because Davis chose to retire, after operating for almost nine years -- including through the COVID-19 pandemic -- under the Bar Rescue concept. The bar's Yelp listing for its North Rancho Drive address is marked permanently closed as of a September 2026 site update. The space was later occupied by a Mexican restaurant, Camino Real, according to Reality TV Updates, though more recent visitor comments on that site indicate a further change of tenant since.
