What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Lick It Up in El Paso for the episode "Spinning the Globe" (S30E9), which aired 2019-08-02, spotlighting a plant-based Mexican street-food dish from the menu. Lick It Up began as a food truck serving vegan Mexican street food before opening a full restaurant at 114 E. Mills Avenue in downtown El Paso. A Yelp listing for Lick It Up, updated July 2026, marks the restaurant as closed at that Mills Avenue address. The restaurant's Uber Eats delivery page was also marked closed, inactive since 2024-12-14.

A Google Places record checked 2026-09-08 likewise shows the business, registered there as Lick It Up INTL, as permanently closed. Because these are listing-based and delivery-platform signals rather than a news report or an owner statement, the closure is treated as reported rather than independently verified.
