What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?

Llama Inn was a Peruvian restaurant at 50 Withers Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, known for wood-fired small plates and a pisco-forward bar program, according to Wikipedia (revised 2026-07-11). Best Thing I Ever Ate featured the restaurant's Peruvian menu in the episode "One of a Kind" (Season 9, Episode 17). According to Greenpointers, reporting 2026-04-17, Llama Inn closed at the end of 2025, and the same Withers Street space was being taken over by Cafe Bar J.F., a new South American-inspired tavern from the same restaurant group.

According to Resy, reporting in May 2026, Cafe Bar J.F. -- led by Llama Inn alumnus Juan Correa and chef Francisco Castillo of sister restaurant Llama San -- opened on 2026-05-13. A site check on 2026-09-08 found llamainnnyc.com no longer returning a response, consistent with the closure. No indication of a Llama Inn reopening elsewhere was found in this check.
