What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?

"Best Thing I Ever Ate" featured Lynn's Paradise Cafe, the eclectically decorated Louisville breakfast spot known for tropical French toast, bourbon-ball French toast, and scrambled eggs with kielbasa, on the "All American" episode. Founder and chef Lynn Winter opened the cafe in the Crescent Hill neighborhood in 1991 before moving it into a former grocery store in Louisville's Highlands neighborhood, according to Wikipedia. The cafe appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and on Food Network's "Throwdown! with Bobby Flay," where Winter beat Flay in a breakfast cook-off, according to Wikipedia.

Lynn's Paradise Cafe closed in January 2013 amid a public dispute over a new tipping policy, according to a 2018 Louisville Public Media report. The Barret Avenue building the cafe had occupied was still awaiting redevelopment five years after the closure, Louisville Public Media reported in August 2018.
