Mansion Lions Hotel, on Grand Parade on the Eastbourne seafront, was featured in the fifth episode of series 9 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5), first aired on 2012-08-02. Wikipedia's episode list, read on 2026-10-19, titles it "Mansion Lions Hotel" and says Alex Polizzi helps an Eastbourne hotel in difficulty, with wordplay on its lion name. The list does not describe the changes made after the visit.

Visit South East England lists the Mansion (Lions) Hotel, Grand Parade, Eastbourne, BN21 3YS, as a meeting and wedding venue, with a garden for up to 100 guests at civil ceremonies and a Hartington Restaurant seating up to 120. That page carries no listing date. A LoopNet property listing, also undated but referring to a rateable value taking effect on 2026-04-01, advertises the freehold of the Mansion Lions Hotel, Eastbourne, with a guide price of 2.8 million pounds or near offer, and describes 77 bedrooms, a ballroom and a restaurant. The Lions Group website at lionhotels.co.uk, with a server last-modified date of 2024-07-30, shows a notice that a new site is under construction and points visitors to booking.com for the group's Boship Lions Farm Hotel; it does not mention the Mansion Lions Hotel. Its page description refers to three hotels in Eastbourne and East Sussex without naming the other two.
