What happened after Man v. Food?

Man v. Food's January 18, 2022 Virginia Beach episode featured May's Parlor, an oceanfront bakery and café that opened in 2017 near the boardwalk, according to the business's own locations page. May's Parlor built its following on made-in-house pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and espresso drinks, and later added a Ghent-neighborhood café in Norfolk and a Holland Road wholesale bakeshop that supplies both storefronts, per maysparlor.com. A Facebook post from The Virginian-Pilot reported that the original Pacific Avenue storefront was closing after eight years, thanking customers for its run at the oceanfront, while a public Yelp listing for that address, updated August 2026, marks it permanently closed. May's Parlor's own website, however, still lists the Pacific Avenue location with posted hours, an unresolved discrepancy with the Yelp listing as of this check. The Norfolk café and Holland Road wholesale operation are not shown as affected.
