What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives stopped at Carib Shack in Virginia Beach during the 'Island and Desert' episode (S26E16), which aired 2017-06-30, sampling the shack's Caribbean home-style cooking. Carib Shack is a small Caribbean carry-out restaurant in a Virginia Beach strip mall, serving family recipes from Trinidad and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The restaurant's own website still displays content dated 2019, but a Yelp listing updated in August 2026 shows Carib Shack operating Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with more than 300 photos and reviews attached to the current listing. Go To Destinations, in a 2026 feature, described the restaurant as a hidden strip-mall favorite worth seeking out, and the business's Facebook page remained active with recent posts as of the same check.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
