What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?

Mesa Grill was chef Bobby Flay's Southwestern restaurant inside Caesars Palace, known for spice-rubbed meats and dishes drawing on New Mexican and Tex-Mex flavors. It opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 2004, roughly 16 years before its closing. KSNV News 3 Las Vegas reported on October 23, 2020, that Mesa Grill would serve its final dinner on November 14, 2020, permanently ending its 16-year run at the resort. The same report said Flay planned to replace the space with an Italian concept, which he later opened as Amalfi by Bobby Flay, with the report saying the new restaurant was expected to open in spring 2021. No 2026-dated source was located confirming whether Amalfi remains open in the former Mesa Grill space.
