What happened after Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares?

Morgans was a small family-run restaurant near Liverpool, in an area popular with footballers' wives and girlfriends, when Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (Channel 4) aired its episode on 2006-12-05. TVmaze describes a female-led team, and TheTVDB's listing says the restaurant was deeply in debt and had no bookings. It was run by Sandy, a former antiques dealer, and her two daughters. Sandy would not hand over control, and the daughters argued over who should be in charge, so Ramsay had to work on the family dynamics as well as the business.

The problems: According to Wikipedia's episode list, the owner was Sandy Morgan and her daughters were Laura and Helen Kelly, with Phil Lee as head chef and Emma working as sous-chef. Phil paired flavors in unusual ways and clashed with others in the kitchen. Sandy bought ingredients from a supermarket instead of a trade supplier. Family disputes and limited business knowledge ran through both the dining room and the office, and Laura briefly walked away from the business.

What the rescue changed: The list says Helen committed to working full time on the business side, and Phil agreed to simplify the menu and to work more closely with Emma.

The revisit: When Ramsay returned, Sandy had promoted Emma to head chef, and Phil resigned rather than accept a demotion, per Wikipedia's episode list. Helen was handling the business side while Sandy concentrated on hospitality, and the list describes the restaurant as running much better.

UPI reported on 2006-12-22 that the episode had given Morgan's, in Woolton, Liverpool, a major promotional boost. Reality TV Revisited, a show-tracking site, reported that Sandy Morgan put the business up for sale for £99,000 in February 2007 and that Morgans closed in November 2007 when the sale went through, with a restaurant called Oddfellows opening there the next month. Reality TV Updates, in a page last updated 2022-02-12, gave the address as 59 Allerton Road, Woolton, and Liverpool Confidential's review of 2018-04-11 described the French restaurant Caveau at that address as Dave Roberts' restaurant since 2011.
