What happened after Mystery Diners?
In the Mystery Diners episode "Sleeping on the Job," which aired December 7, 2012, chef-owner Marc Sgrizzi of Parma in Las Vegas noticed that sales receipts weren't lining up with his inventory of high-end Italian deli meats and suspected an employee was taking product for personal use. Charles Stiles sent investigator Shane in undercover as a busboy to watch the kitchen and storage areas and identify who was responsible. Shane's undercover work pointed to an employee described in the episode as down on his luck, and Sgrizzi was advised to confront the employee with the evidence and change how deli inventory was tracked and secured going forward.
According to the episode, Sgrizzi addressed the situation with the employee directly. Wikipedia's article on Mystery Diners notes, citing its sources, that the show carries an on-screen disclaimer stating some events may be staged or re-enacted for dramatic purposes, and that a television critic has described its scenarios and performances as implausible.
