What happened after Food Paradise?

In the 'Eat, Drink, Play' episode (S15E13), the show featured Pik-n-Pig, a barbecue restaurant in Carthage, North Carolina built around whole-hog barbecue hand-rubbed with a house spice blend and smoked for up to ten hours over hickory coals. The restaurant operates from a location on Gilliam McConnell Road outside downtown Carthage. According to a Yelp listing updated in August 2026, Pik-n-Pig continues to draw reviews and photos at that address, and the restaurant's own website returned an active page when checked on 2026-09-08. The Yelp listing's most recent hours show the restaurant serving Thursday through Sunday, a narrower schedule than some older listings describe, so hours should be confirmed directly with the restaurant before a visit. The same Yelp listing includes roughly 280 customer photos accumulated over time, another sign of ongoing visitor traffic at the Gilliam McConnell Road address.
