What happened after Food Paradise?

Food Paradise's "Off-the-Chain Eats" episode (S18E2) featured Portage Bay, a Seattle breakfast-and-brunch cafe known locally for an organic-focused menu built around breakfast, brunch, and lunch service. The business operates as Portage Bay Cafe, a small Seattle chain rather than a single storefront, with locations spread across several neighborhoods. According to Yelp, the University District location on Roosevelt Way NE carries the largest volume of customer photos and reviews among the chain's Seattle spots, and a Yelp listing for that address, updated in August 2026, showed continuing activity with no closure marker.

Portage Bay Cafe's own website, portagebaycafe.com, lists the Roosevelt Way NE address alongside three other active Seattle locations — South Lake Union, West Seattle, and a Ravenna-area spot near 65th Street. Because the episode did not identify which Portage Bay location appeared on screen, this entry uses the Roosevelt Way NE address, and Census geocoding was used to place it after a web search turned up the street address.
