What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode, 'A Taste of Time' (S13E5), featured RingSide Steakhouse, a Portland, Oregon, steakhouse at 2165 W. Burnside Street that its own site and Wikipedia (revised 2026-07-11) both date to 1944, though Wikipedia flags the founding date as needing a citation. Wikipedia also describes an eastside expansion across the Willamette River and a related RingSide Fish House concept that opened at Portland's Fox Tower in 2011. According to Wikipedia, a kitchen fire closed the restaurant in April 2025, and it reopened on August 4, 2025. Since the episode, RingSide's own website listed current hours - including Thursday-through-Sunday last-seating times - and an active reservations and gift-card system when checked on September 9, 2026; Google's business-profile data listed the steakhouse as operational the same day.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
