What happened after Food Paradise?

The "Wild & Wacky" episode featured Sabuku Sushi's build-your-own and specialty maki rolls, part of a sushi-bar menu built around inventive, quirky-named creations rather than a traditional omakase format. The restaurant operated on Adams Avenue in San Diego's North Park neighborhood as a sushi bar and lounge. According to a Yelp business listing updated June 2026, Sabuku Sushi at 3027 Adams Ave is marked permanently closed. our records' location match for this record pointed to Azuki Sushi Lounge, an unrelated sushi restaurant several miles away on Fifth Avenue downtown; that match was set aside because neither the business name nor the address corresponds to Sabuku Sushi, and the correct North Park address was used instead after a search confirmed it.
