What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Silk City Diner, at 435 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia, in the 'Totally Fried' episode. The stainless-steel-style diner has since expanded well beyond a lunch counter: the business, now branded simply Silk City, describes itself on its own site as combining a retro diner room, an enclosed tropical garden, and a lounge for live bands and DJ nights. A 2026-09-07 check of Silk City's official website (silkcityphilly.com) found the site live with an active online ordering widget for take-out and delivery, and posted hours listing a Friday happy hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and nightly dinner service from 4 p.m. The site lists a phone number of 215-592-8838 for the location.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
