What happened after Man v. Food?
Man v. Food's Des Moines episode stopped at Smitty's Tenderloin Shop for its breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, a Midwest specialty the shop has served since it opened in 1966, according to its own website. Smitty's operates from Army Post Road on the city's south side, serving a lunch-and-early-dinner counter menu built around tenderloins, sides, and daily specials, with weekday hours running roughly 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. according to its Yelp listing. The restaurant's Facebook page shows it continuing to offer dine-in, outdoor seating, and in-store pickup, and a separate online-ordering page lists the Army Post Road location as active for pickup and delivery orders. Yelp's listing for the same address carries reviews updated through July 2026, indicating Smitty's remains open at the location featured on the show.
