What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives? 2 episodes

Part 1 — Season 22, Episode 1 Aired

In the 'Fish, Fries and Feet' episode (Food Network, aired 2015-01-16), Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Tacopocalypse's Bulgogi Masa Fries, a plate of fried masa cakes topped with marinated beef, cheese sauce, kimchi, and eel sauce. Tacopocalypse was a fusion restaurant in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, at 407 East 5th Street, blending Mexican, Korean, and Vietnamese flavors. A Yelp business listing updated 2026-04 marks the restaurant permanently closed, and a HappyCow directory entry also lists it as closed. FoodiePie's episode guide for 'Fish, Fries and Feet' likewise tags the restaurant as closed in its current listing. No 2026-dated hours, menu, or ordering activity was found for the location, and none of the three listings shows a new operator at the address.

Part 2 — Season 24, Episode 2 Aired

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives revisited Tacopocalypse as part of the "Triple D All Stars" special, replaying the Des Moines fusion shop's "I Can't Believe It's Not Breakfast Burrito," Korean chicken and waffle, and bulgogi and wasabi brisket tacos, according to DinersDriveInsDivesLocations.com. The clip traces back to Tacopocalypse's original 2015 feature in the "Fish, Fries and Feet" episode, where Guy Fieri also tried the shop's bánh mì sandwiches and vegan chorizo tacos. Tacopocalypse has since permanently closed, per the same source.
