What happened after Food Paradise?

Food Paradise's episode "Cranked Up Comfort" featured State Fare Kitchen & Bar, an American comfort-food restaurant and bar in west Houston, Texas. The business operated from a suite at 947 Gessner Rd, inside a shopping center near the Houston Galleria and Memorial City areas. Google Places lists the business's status as permanently closed. A check of the restaurant's own website, statefaretx.com, on 2026-09-08 returned an HTTP 403 error, which blocks automated access and does not by itself show whether the business is open or closed.

No dated news article, social media post, or public listing was located to independently corroborate a specific closure date beyond the Google Places record. No independent source was found showing the restaurant operating more recently than the Google Places listing.
