What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

The Blue Inn in Redditch, Worcestershire, was the subject of the opening episode of series 12 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5), “The Blue Inn, Redditch,” which aired 2016-06-01. Wikipedia's list of episodes and the TVmaze episode page both describe Alex Polizzi stepping in to mediate a dispute between the hotel's manager and its owner, who watched the manager through CCTV cameras from an office in Paris. TVmaze lists the episode at 60 minutes with a 9 p.m. slot and gives no detail about the inn's location or history.

Expedia lists a hotel on Far Moor Lane, Redditch B98 0SD, as The Hotel Rafiya, and Hotels.com lists Blue Inn among that property's earlier names. Hotels.com showed guest reviews dated between 31 March and 21 July 2026 and Expedia showed reviews dated 1 and 2 August 2026, some describing a clean, good-value budget hotel with easy parking and others saying it needed upkeep. TheTVDB's listing for The Hotel Inspector Returns shows a revisit episode, "The Blue Inn", airing 2017-09-08, and says that 18 months earlier Donna had been working more than 100 hours a week to run the hotel. No listing read names the current owner.
