Man v. Food's Miami-area special (aired 2010-02-03) sent Adam Richman to Burger & Beer Joint's original Sunset Harbor location on Bay Road in Miami Beach, where the segment centered on the Mother Burger, a roughly 10-pound burger that even Richman could not finish. The restaurant had opened in August 2009, several months before the episode aired, and later expanded with a second location in Mary Brickell Village in downtown Miami in July 2010. A Yelp listing for the Bay Road location, last updated in June 2025, marks it permanently closed, and a separate Yelp listing for the Brickell location, updated June 2026, likewise marks that address permanently closed. The Google Places match originally associated with this record pointed to an unrelated Wynwood burger business and was not used for location data.
