What happened after Man v. Food?

The same San Jose episode (aired 2019-11-05) featured The Funny Farm, a restaurant that started in 2017 as the kitchen for Sideline Sports Bar & Grill before opening its own Stevens Creek Boulevard storefront, according to San Jose Spotlight. Man v. Food highlighted the restaurant's beef short-rib poutine, topped with chopped braised short ribs, crispy onion strings and an optional fried egg, alongside its UFO burger. Co-owner Monica Levi told San Jose Spotlight the restaurant aimed to feel "just like home, where everyone is family and everyone is welcome."

The Funny Farm later moved to 4898 San Felipe Road, near Evergreen Valley College, opening there in March 2022, per the same outlet. NBC Bay Area reported on January 27, 2025 that the restaurant was closing after business that Sunday, citing six break-ins over three years that caused more than $10,000 in damage, combined with rising food, supply and power costs. Levi told NBC Bay Area the situation had been "extremely challenging" and said it was hard "knowing it isn't something we did wrong." A Yelp listing for the San Felipe Road address, updated March 2026, is marked closed.
