The Greek at the Harbor was a Greek and Mediterranean restaurant overlooking Ventura Harbor, run by the Mikelatos family, Makis and Lynn Mikelatos, along with chef Panos, since the restaurant's founding in the mid-1990s. Gordon Ramsay visited in August 2011 for the episode that aired November 18, 2011, finding a menu that had grown unmanageably large and a kitchen struggling to keep pace with it during service. Ramsay worked with the family to rebuild the menu around a tighter selection of Greek and Mediterranean dishes better suited to the restaurant's harbor-view dining room and banquet business, and helped restructure how the kitchen operated during a rush. He also worked directly with chef Panos and the rest of the kitchen staff on faster ticket times during busy periods, a problem that had been compounding the effects of the oversized menu.

The relaunch went well, and the restaurant continued operating at the same Spinnaker Drive address in the years that followed. At some point afterward, the business began operating under the name The Greek Mediterranean Steak & Seafood, a change reflected on its current website and social media, according to Geeks Around Globe (updated 2026-03-27). Makis Mikelatos continued to hold the title of president of the business as of the LinkedIn profile referenced in that report, and the Mikelatos family also went on to open a second restaurant, Margarita Villa, elsewhere in Ventura, per the same source.

The business's own website advertises current seasonal hours and promotions, including a Labor Day weekend event timed to the actual 2026 holiday, lists recurring live-entertainment nights such as belly-dancing performances, and continues to describe itself as family-owned since the mid-1990s at the Ventura Harbor address. A Yelp listing for the restaurant under its current name shows several hundred reviews and a 3.5-star average rating, consistent with the Geeks Around Globe update.
