What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited The Kitchen in Oxnard for the 'Multitaskers' episode that aired 2012-01-30, spotlighting owner Cathie Moreno's multitasking kitchen, known for dishes including a lamb burger and a meatloaf sandwich. The restaurant operated at 529 South A Street in Oxnard, California, after opening in 2010, according to background listed on Food Network's restaurant profile for the address. A Yelp listing for the same address, updated February 2026, marks The Kitchen as permanently closed, and a separate Food Network restaurants directory page for the address also lists the business as closed.

Google's own business listing for the address likewise shows a permanently-closed status. No dated news report describing the closure itself, such as an announcement of a final service date, was located during this check, so the exact closure date remains unconfirmed.
