What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network) featured The Jerk Shack on "From the Seas and Overseas," which aired 2024-03-15, spotlighting the restaurant's Jamaican jerk cooking. The business operates as a jerk-style restaurant in a strip-center suite on TX-151 in San Antonio and promotes catering for birthdays, weddings, and corporate events. According to the restaurant's website (thejerkshacksatx.com), checked 2026-09-08, the site listed current weekly hours -- Thursday 11am-8pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-9pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm -- plus a separate Thanksgiving holiday-hours notice, and its online ordering tool was functioning.

Google's business listing marked the location operational as of the same check. Some older page elements on the site carry a 2018 date, suggesting parts of the content have not been refreshed in several years, though the posted hours and working ordering system indicate the restaurant continues to operate under its original name and address.
