What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

The Office Sports Bar and Grill, in Toronto, aired as the episode titled 'The Office Restaurant,' the thirteenth and last of Restaurant Makeover's third season, first airing on 2007-01-08. Rotten Tomatoes' episode guide describes it as the first sports bar in Toronto called The Office. Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants names Corbin Tomaszeski as the chef and Meredith Heron as the designer. The sources reviewed do not describe the bar's condition when the team arrived, who owned it, what the budget was, what the new look or menu was, or how the relaunch went, and nothing further is supplied here.

Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants marks the bar as no longer open and adds a note that the site is now The Longest Yard. That is a lead from a show list, and no second source ties the two businesses together. Two other pages touch on The Longest Yard, a Toronto pub. A business directory entry on blocal.dev4.xi-digital.com lists The Longest Yard Restaurant at 3313 Bloor St W in Etobicoke and says the first Yard opened in 1987 on Mount Pleasant Road and the Bloor Street West one followed in 2007. BlogTO's page for The Longest Yard (Etobicoke) carries an undated label marking it as now closed.

A Google Places lookup on 2026-10-19 returned Real Sports Bar & Grill at 15 York St, which has a different name and is a large downtown sports bar rather than anything the sources connect to The Office; it was not used. Two web searches that day, one pairing the name with Toronto and The Longest Yard and one pairing the Longest Yard's Bloor Street address with the words formerly The Office, returned a Toronto Life roundup of downtown sports bars, a Globe and Mail article about Real Sports and pages about similarly named bars elsewhere. None identifies the bar from the show.

City of Toronto business licence records list The Office Sports Bar & Grill, operated by 517215 Ontario Inc at 3313 Bloor Street West, with a licence that was cancelled on 2008-04-02, about fifteen months after the episode aired. According to the same records, a restaurant and bar called The Longest Yard was licensed at the same address from 2007-09-01 to 2017-07-05.
