What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

Grappa Restaurant was the subject of the episode titled "Grappa Restaurant", which aired on 2007-04-23 as the twenty-sixth episode of the third season of Restaurant Makeover. That HGTV Canada series had a chef and a designer rework one restaurant on a limited budget and a short schedule, with the owners adding matching money. Rotten Tomatoes' season listing says only that the restaurant was being redecorated. Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants names chef Brad Long and the designers Robin Fraser and Meredith Heron, lists the restaurant as Grappa Ristorante in Toronto, and gives no street. No source read describes the problems shown on screen, the menu or staff changes, or the relaunch.

This entry associates the episode with Grappa Restaurant at 690 The Queensway in Etobicoke, a district of Toronto, because a Google Places search returned it for the name, its name matches the episode title, and its cuisine is Italian. No source read ties that address to the 2007 episode directly, and nothing read says whether the restaurant has always been at that address, so the link is unconfirmed.

When the restaurant's website was checked on 2026-10-19, it listed the Queensway address, a reservations phone number, a menu, a wine list whose file name is dated 2023, a private room seating 60 and two smaller lounge rooms, and hours of Wednesday through Sunday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., with Monday and Tuesday given over to private events. The home page showed no copyright year or dated notice. OpenTable's page for Grappa Restaurant at the same address showed ten recent reviews with dining dates from 2026-05-01 to 2026-10-08, 297 reviews in total and a menu last updated on 2022-02-01. A Google Places listing checked on 2026-10-19 marked the business operational. Wikipedia's list also marks the restaurant as still open, but gives no date or citation for that entry.
