An episode titled "With My Hands" featured The Spotted Pig, a gastropub at 314 West 11th Street in Manhattan's West Village. According to Wikipedia (revised 2026-07-25), the restaurant was owned by Ken Friedman with Mario Batali as a primary investor, and its kitchen was led by chef April Bloomfield; The Spotted Pig held a Michelin star from about 2006 to 2016. Wikipedia reports the restaurant closed on January 26, 2020. A Google Places search for the business in 2026 returned no listing at the original address; a differently named restaurant, The Spotted Dog, now appears at an unrelated Upper East Side address, and no successor business was found operating under the Spotted Pig name as of the 2026-09-08 check.
