What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode featured Twisted Spoke's biker-bar identity at the corner of Ogden and Grand avenues in Chicago's West Town, recognizable for the skeleton-riding-a-motorcycle prop mounted on its roof and a breakfast-and-bar-food menu. The business operated as a bar and restaurant in the neighborhood for roughly three decades under co-owners Mitch and Cliff Einhorn. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Einhorns announced in August 2025 that Twisted Spoke would close, citing rising costs across the industry as the reason for the decision. Block Club Chicago reported the same closure on 2025-08-05, noting the bar shut its doors on August 31, 2025.
Google's business listing for the address now shows the location as permanently closed. A follow-up piece from RideApart reported that Mitch Einhorn retained the Twisted Spoke name and intellectual property and left open the possibility of reviving the concept in a different form at some point.
