What happened after Food Paradise?
Tommy's Mexican Restaurant was featured in the 'Best Mex' episode for its extensive tequila and mezcal collection and its fresh-lime margarita, a style associated with the restaurant's bar program. Tommy's is a sit-down Mexican restaurant in San Francisco's Outer Richmond neighborhood. A Yelp listing, updated in August 2026, lists Tommy's as operating Wednesday through Sunday evenings, hours that match those posted on the restaurant's own website. The restaurant's website carries an older 2023 copyright notice, but the matching, currently posted hours on both pages support continued operation.
The website also operates a live online-ordering cart, and its homepage repeats several 'World's Best Bars' award mentions from past years alongside the current bar and dinner hours. No reports of a closure, sale, or relocation were found for Tommy's.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
