What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?

The Best Thing I Ever Ate (Food Network) featured Yank Sing's dim sum in the show's 'Bar-B-Que' episode. Yank Sing is a dim sum restaurant founded in 1958 by Alice Chan in San Francisco's Chinatown, and today operates from 49 Stevenson St in the city's Financial District, according to Wikipedia. The James Beard Foundation named Yank Sing an American Classic in 2009, per Wikipedia, and the restaurant is now run by Chan's granddaughter, Vera Chan-Waller, and her husband, Nathan Waller. A September 8, 2026 check of the restaurant's website, yanksing.com, found the page had been modified that same day and listed current weekend hours along with a working online-ordering link and a reservations page. Google Places lists the restaurant's operating status as operational.
