What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
On "Cake Walk," The Best Thing I Ever Ate (Food Network) featured the Blue Bottle Coffee bar inside SFMOMA's rooftop sculpture garden, known for art-inspired pastries such as a chocolate "Mondrian Cake." According to an SFMOMA press release, the rooftop coffee bar opened on May 14, 2009, inside the museum's then-new 14,400-square-foot Rooftop Garden at 151 Third Street. The cafe counter was built of solid FSC-certified white oak, and the bar served espresso drinks alongside pastries, milk from Clover Organic Farms, chocolate from Recchiuti, and ice cream from Humphry Slocombe, according to SFMOMA. Food Network's restaurant directory also lists the coffee bar as tied to the museum's sculpture garden. No 2026-dated source describing the coffee bar's current operations was found.
