What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network) featured Yonder's Southern-style chicken and pie cooking in season 32, episode 10, "Chicken and Pie," which aired 2020-09-18. Chef Maya Lovelace opened Yonder as a Southern restaurant in 2019 in the Cully neighborhood of northeast Portland, Oregon, drawing on her Appalachian roots for a menu of scratch Southern cooking. According to Wikipedia (revised 2026-07-11), The Oregonian named Yonder one of the city's ten best new restaurants that year, and Yonder went on to appear on this Food Network episode the following year.

Lovelace closed Yonder on June 26, 2022, according to Wikipedia, and converted the space into a different restaurant, Hissyfit, under her own ownership. A Google Places listing for the Cully-neighborhood address shows the Yonder location's business status as permanently closed, consistent with the Wikipedia account of its 2022 closure.
