In the Season 9 episode 'Iconic Eats', the show featured Zuppardi's Apizza, a West Haven pizzeria making New Haven-style apizza from a family recipe dating back to 1934. The restaurant, founded by Anthony Zuppardi, remains a family-run business operated by his children and grandchildren from the original Union Avenue location. According to WTNH, Zuppardi's Apizza announced in June 2026 a $4.2 million expansion of its separate frozen-pizza production division into a 26,926-square-foot West Haven building, with roughly 17,000 square feet devoted to frozen-pizza production.
