What happened after Restaurant Takeover?

Augusto 33, at 9300 Keele Street in Maple, a community in Vaughan, was the third episode of Restaurant Takeover (Food Network Canada) season two, aired on 2013-09-11. The series paired a chef with a designer to overhaul a struggling Ontario restaurant. According to TVmaze's episode page, Eric and Nancy, two siblings in their twenties, ran a takeout restaurant with a large, underused space and no money to furnish it, and they held opposite views about what the business needed to thrive. Their mother, Lynda, worked in the kitchen and was unsure whether the place should be a bakery, an Italian restaurant or a cafe. The show sent in chef Corbin Tomaszeski and designer Paula Velez to give the space a clear direction. The synopsis frames the problem as one of identity as much as money, since the family had not settled on a single concept for the large room.

The episode listings point to a name change as part of the rescue. TVmaze and Plex both title the episode "Augusto 33 (now Brookelynn's Bistro)" (aired 2013-09-11), which indicates the business operated as Brookelynn's Bistro after the makeover. Neither page describes the new menu, the decor that was installed or an opening date, and the Plex page repeats the same episode description that TVmaze gives.

The record after the episode comes from one listing. A Google Maps listing for AUGUSTO 33 at 9300 Keele Street, checked on 2026-10-19, marks the business as permanently closed; Google Maps places the address in Maple, which is part of the city of Vaughan. That listing is the only post-episode source behind this entry. The pages read for this entry give no information about Brookelynn's Bistro beyond its appearance in the episode title, so how long either name stayed in business at the address is not documented here.
