What happened after Project Bakeover?
Cake Your Way was the third episode of Project Bakeover (Food Network Canada) season two, titled “Starting from Scratch,” first aired on 2022-04-14. According to Wikipedia's article on the series, host Steve Hodge and designer Tiffany Pratt help bakeries update their menus and decor, and season two ran ten episodes from 2022-03-31 to 2022-06-02. The show list places the bakery in Woodbridge, Ontario, a community within the city of Vaughan; the bakery's website and Google's place record give its address as 7007 Islington Avenue, Unit 10, Vaughan.
Wikipedia's episode table lists three items created for the bakery: a magic soufflé cake, decorative focaccia and homemade coloured marshmallows. The sources reviewed for this page do not describe the problems shown on air beyond the episode title, and the bakery's website does not mention the show.
NOW Toronto, in an article whose date was not displayed on the copy read, reported that founder Whitney Ware began as a high-school home baker, opened the Vaughan store at 21 and was preparing to open a second shop at 825 College Street in Toronto's Little Italy. The same article reported that the Vaughan shop had introduced a walk-in menu earlier that year.
When read on 2026-10-19, cakeyourway.com listed two addresses, 7007 Islington Avenue Unit 10 and 825 College Street, with hours of Wednesday to Sunday and the Vaughan shop by appointment only on Sundays. A banner said the bakery was accepting October and November orders, the page described a one-week turnaround for custom orders, and an online checkout served the Greater Toronto Area. The page also listed pop-ups at Square One (October 8 to 11) and STACKT Market (October 17 and 18), without years, and a separate booking link for its Sip and Cake events. Neither the website nor the NOW Toronto copy read mentions a closure, a sale or a name change.
