What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

Restaurant Makeover (HGTV Canada / Food Network Canada) featured Jonathan's, a restaurant in Woodbridge, Ontario, in an episode that aired on 2008-06-09. According to the Rotten Tomatoes episode description, it was a traditional Portuguese restaurant that received a contemporary look. Wikipedia's Restaurant Makeover table credits chef David Adjey and designer Glen Peloso with the episode and lists the location as Woodbridge. The episode is the 24th of 26 in the season 4 listing on Rotten Tomatoes, and Wikipedia's page lists seven chefs and nine designers who worked on the series across its run, Adjey and Peloso among them. No source that was found describes the owners, the specific problems, what was changed in the menu or staff, or how the relaunch went, so none of that is described here.

For the years since, only a map entry and a lead exist. OpenStreetMap data, retrieved through the Photon geocoder, includes a Jonathan's Restaurant on Highway 7 in Vaughan, postal code L4L 5Y1; Woodbridge is a community within Vaughan. The entry matches the featured name and the municipality, but it carries no street number, no hours and no status, and it does not show that the place is operating or that it is the restaurant from the episode. A web search for the name with Woodbridge, Highway 7 and the show returned York Region business-directory pages and property listings for other businesses on Highway 7 and in Woodbridge; none mentioned Jonathan's.

Wikipedia's table marks Jonathan's as still open but gives no date, address or source for that. No 2026 evidence of hours, online ordering or reviews, and no news report about the restaurant, was found. The coordinates shown with this entry come from the OpenStreetMap match and are approximate. Wikipedia's table is a lead rather than a dated source, and the Rotten Tomatoes listing gives no street address, owner name or date for any later change.

A Google Maps search for Jonathan's restaurant in Woodbridge, checked 2026-10-20, returned no listing for it, and Yelp's page for Jonathan's Restaurant at 200 Marycroft Avenue in Vaughan, the city that includes Woodbridge, marks that restaurant closed. No website or recent review for Jonathan's was found that day.
