What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Ba Lẹ Restaurant's Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches and bakery counter during the 'All Over Flavor' episode, which aired 2024-11-15. The business, listed on its own site as Bánh Mì Ba Lẹ & Bakery, has operated from 1052 Dorchester Ave in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood. The Dorchester Reporter profiled owner Jennifer Nguyen in a 2025-06-04 article marking the shop's recognition as one of the city's Legacy Businesses. According to the business's own website, balebanhmiboston.com, last modified 2025-06-06, it recently opened two additional locations, in Malden and Quincy, Massachusetts, while continuing to reference the original Dorchester Ave address.

Yelp's listing for the Dorchester Ave location, last updated 2026-07, still shows it active with ongoing customer reviews. A separate Facebook page for the business includes an undated note that the location is closing soon, which has not been corroborated by any dated source.
