What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Union Hmong Kitchen for Hmong dishes from a restaurant recognized as a 2021 James Beard Best New Restaurant nominee and a 2021 and 2022 James Beard Best Chef Midwest nominee, according to its own website. The North Loop, Minneapolis location, at 520 North 4th Street, was one of the restaurant's Minneapolis outposts. According to that website, unionkitchenmn.com, the business "has closed our locations in Uptown and the North Loop," while noting it could still be found at the Minnesota State Fair each summer. The site displayed a 2022 date reference elsewhere on the page and continued to list working online-ordering links when checked on September 8, 2026. Google's listing also marked the North Loop address permanently closed as of that same check.
