What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
"Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" visited Cafe Polonia during the September 5, 2014 episode "Roadtrippin' in Beantown," highlighting the South Boston restaurant's Polish comfort food, including pierogi, kielbasa, and traditional soups such as barszcz and żurek. The restaurant has served Polish cuisine from its Dorchester Avenue storefront since opening in South Boston. According to the restaurant's own website, cafepolonia.com, checked September 8, 2026, the site carries a 2026 copyright date and lists current hours of Thursday noon to 9 p.m., Friday noon to 10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., along with an active online ordering option. The same site still lists a full menu of Polish appetizers and soups, including pickle soup, beet soup, and sour rye soup with kielbasa, matching the fare the restaurant has long featured.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
