Backroads Bar & Grill Is Now Taylor's Tavern Bar &… — Bar Rescue Update

Backroads Bar & Grill, at 15217 Apollo Dr in Holly, Michigan, appeared in Bar Rescue's ninth season episode "Backroads to Ruin," which aired March 30, 2025 on Paramount Network. As with other episodes, the visit centered on the bar's drink program, staffing and sales ahead of a renovation and relaunch under a new name, Taylor's Tavern Bar & Kitchen. Restaurant-review aggregators describe Backroads as a family-owned bar and grill known for burgers, a rotating selection of local beers on tap, and live music; the specific in-episode changes to its menu or decor were not detailed in the sources reviewed for this update.

Listings under the old Backroads Bar & Grill name conflict with each other because the bar now operates under a new name. A Google Places listing for 15217 Apollo Dr shows the business as operational, with no indication of a closure. A Yelp listing for the same address, however, is headed "BACKROADS BAR AND GRILL - CLOSED" and was last updated in August 2026, which would place a closure sometime after the bar's Bar Rescue appearance. Restaurantji and Restaurant Guru listings found in the same search show reviews and a roughly four-out-of-five rating without stating whether the business is currently open.

Reality TV Updates, in a listing last updated March 31, 2025, shows the bar open under the name it received on the show, Taylor's Tavern Bar & Kitchen. Backroads maintains an Instagram account (@backroadsbar) and a Facebook page, but neither was checked for recent activity for the record. The permanently-closed flag on the listing under the old Backroads Bar & Grill name fits the Bar Rescue rename and does not by itself show a closure. WFMK (99.1 FM) reported on March 4, 2025 that locals now knew the bar as Taylor's Tavern Bar & Kitchen and that the owners planned to hold a watch party there for the episode. An October 2026 check found no report of a closure, sale, or move.
